David Deutsch (producer)

David Deutsch (1926-1991) was a British film producer.

He was the son of Oscar and Lily Deutsch, who founded the Odeon chain. He did his national service in the mines, then became an assistant film editor in 1949. Five years later Deutsch became personal assistant to Sydney Box. He the joined the Rank organisation in 1955 for whom he produced several movies.He joined Anglo-Amalgamated and became their head of production. Deutsch produced the first features of directors Michael Winner, Kevin Billington and John Boorman. Deutsch later went to work for John Woolf and worked in television.[1][2]
