Christian Figueroa (born May 26, 2005)[1] is an American political activist and student organizer from California. He is a current undergraduate student at Stanford University.[2] Figueroa was the former national press secretary of the College Democrats of America and was one of the youngest national delegates to the 2024 Democratic National Convention.[3]
Early life and education
[edit]Christian Figueroa was born on May 26, 2005 in Arcadia, California.[1] He is the son of a firefighter and public school teacher, and has two younger siblings.[4] Figueroa is a current sophomore at Stanford University and resides in Southern California.[5]
Activism
[edit]Figueroa began his involvement in political activism at 13 years old following a Kamala Harris 2020 presidential campaign rally.[4] He later became the national press secretary of the College Democrats of America and was an organizing intern at the California Democratic Party.[3]
Most notably, Figueroa was one of the youngest national delegates to the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois. He endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris following the withdrawal of Democratic candidate President Joe Biden from the 2024 United States presidential election and pledged his delegate vote for Vice President Kamala Harris.[6]
