Sai Abhyankkar (born 4 November 2004) is an Indian composer and singer who works primarily in Tamil cinema. He is the son of singers Tippu and Harini.

Abhyankkar's debut independent single "Katchi Sera", composed for Think Indie, went viral across the globe and emerged as one of the most searched songs of 2024 worldwide.[1] Bakkiyaraj Kannan signed him to compose music for Benz in 2024, which was his debut in Tamil cinema, and he soon after signed on Suriya 45.

Early life and education

Abhyankar's parents are singers Tippu and Harini.[2] His sister Sai Smriti is also a singer.[3]

Career

On 21 January 2024, Abhyankkar released a single "Katchi Sera" which gained popularity on social media platforms, accumulating over 135+ million views on YouTube.[4][5] On 12 June, his next single was "Aasa Kooda", which trended on social media with over 150+ million views. The same day, he had signed his film debut, Benz, which is directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan and presented by Lokesh Kanagaraj, as it is the fourth instalment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, making Abhyankkar the third music composer for the universe.[6] On the occasion of his birthday, 4 November, his inclusion was officially announced by the makers.[7]
