Traveen Mathew (born 14 June 2004) is a Sri Lankan cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler. He was educated at St. Anthony's College, Kandy. He made his first debut in the news as an upcoming cricketer when he was invited by the Rajasthan Royals for a tryout camp in Janury 2022. [1] He made his first-class debut for Panadura Sports Club in the 2023 Major League Tournament on 13 November 2023. He was included in the Sri Lanka squad for the 2021 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup,[2] taking six wickets across five matches with an economy rate of 3.57.[1]

In June 2023, he was selected to play for the Dambulla Aura following the auction for the 2023 Lanka Premier League.[3]

In November 2024, he was drafted by the Jaffna Titans for the inaugural edition of the Lanka T10 Super League[4] and went on to become the highest wicket-taker in the tournament.[5] His best bowling was 4/10 off two overs in a win against Hambantota Bangla Tigers.[6] He also took three wickets against Colombo Jaguars including the scalps of former Sri Lanka national team captain Angelo Mathews.[7] Mathew was named as the competition's best bowler and emerging player.[8]
