This is a list of bus routes in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Winnipeg Transit provides public bus service to the city of Winnipeg, operating 90 bus routes,[1] 4 On-Request services and 5,167 bus stops[2] as of September 2024. Many routes on this list have more than one ultimate destination, even on trips travelling in the same direction. For instance, the Route 16 Osborne (southbound) has five ultimate destinations; all trips travel down Osborne Street as far as Kingston Row, but beyond that point they diverge depending on their signage.

All routes are wheelchair accessible.

Route types

Winnipeg Transit classifies it's bus routes into the following eight categories:

88 Inkster Industrial Park – Scotia Operates weekdays only.
89 North Transcona via Transcona Blvd – Kildonan Place Operates midday on weekdays and all day Sunday/Holiday until 6:30 PM. No Saturday service.
90 Whellams Lane – Kildonan Place – North Transcona North Transcona route only operates during rush hour.

92 Crossroads Station – Lakeside Meadows Operates when the 42 Plessis Express is not in service and all day Saturday until 6:30 PM. No Sunday/Holiday service.

95 Polo Park / Shaftesbury Park – Riverview Provides transfers to Southwest Transitway at Fort Rouge Station. Current route started in 2004, after merging with Route 97. Operates weekdays only. Service to Polo Park during rush hour only.
96 St. Vital Centre / Southdale Centre / Paterson Loop Weekday rush hour only.

330 Murray Garden City Centre – Rivergrove (Main Street) Route began on September 1, 2024. Operates everyday from 6am - 10pm.
334 Adsum Garden City Centre – Castlebury Meadows Route began on September 1, 2024. Weekday rush hour only. Off-peak and weekend service provided by On-Request 103.

691 Whyte Ridge Seel Station – Whyte Ridge Replaces Route 181 Whyte Ridge Express. Inbound AM, outbound PM. After reaching terminal, buses continue as 690.
693 Waverley Heights Markham Station – Bridgwater Forest Replaces Route 163 Waverley Heights Express (Update to be Replaced with New Route 678 Markham Station - Prairie Pointe)
694 Wildwood Seel Station – Fort Garry Industrial Replaces Route 94 (Wildwood Section)

Future Routes

In June 2025, Winnipeg Transit will overhaul its current transit system with a refreshed "Primary Transit Network."[5]

There will be 6 new types of bus routes:

Frequent Express

("FX" suffix)

Frequent Express Lines have the highest service frequencies and longest distances between stops.

Frequent Express Lines are located where rapid transit infrastructure will be built in the future.

Will use articulated buses and 40 ft buses.

Will be upgraded to Rapid Transit in the future.

Frequent Lines ("F" suffix) Frequent Lines have the next most frequent service, followed by Direct Lines.

In the future, as Winnipeg continues to invest in transit, Lines may move up in service classes.

Will use articulated buses and 40 ft buses.

Buses run along major streets to help people travel across the city

Direct Lines

("D" suffix)

Buses run along main streets to help people travel between neighborhoods. Will use articulated buses and 40 ft buses.

Possible route to Birds Hill Provincial Park, subject to agreement with the Province of Manitoba.

Connector Routes Connect people to the Primary network and help them move around the city. Will use 40 ft buses.
Community Routes Help people travel within their neighborhoods, to nearby services, to connector routes and the Primary Network. Will use 40 ft and 30ft buses.
On-Request Serves new and developing areas and other areas with low demand. Connects people to nearby destinations and other transit services. Will use 30ft buses and Handi-Transit vehicles.
Limited Span Limited span routes operate only at certain times of the day. This can include express routes. Will use articulated, 40 ft and 30ft buses, as well as Handi-Transit vehicles.
