Hello, welcome to my article, my Wikipedian name is Vamos Palmeiras, formally NYMan6!! I have been editing Wikipedia since 2022, I've used the site for multiple years but have finally decided to edit and improve Wikipedia, thank you Wikipedians for welcoming me to this site. (Most of this was written in 2022 and furtherly edited in 2024)
If you can't tell by my profile already I'm Brazilian-American, speaking 3 languages of which 1 was family-taught and came naturally as my first language which was Portuguese. My second one was English as I live in the United States currently. And my third was Spanish! Which was self taught and great to learn as it opened a door for me to communicate with hundreds of millions of people.
You may see me sometimes editing on the Portuguese and Spanish-language wikipedias but mainly you'll find me on here making and extending pages I have created or are recent happenings. Article requests are always open on my TALK PAGE and I'll look at them thoroughly.
(P.S: If you speak any of the other languages always be free to send me things in them if your learning the English language or are editing on here!

Summary of Palmeiras
[edit]
Founded by Italian immigrants on August 26, 1914 under the name Palestra Italia, the "Alviverde" club was forced to change its name in 1942, due to altercations with the Brazilian government, and was renamed.
Palmeiras is one of it not, the most successful club in Brazil, being the biggest national champion, with 18 titles. Among the greatest achievements in its history are the international club tournament or "mundial" of 1951, the 1999, 2020 and 2021 Copa Libertadores da América, 12 Campeonato Brasileiros and 4 Copa do Brasil.
Palestra Italia (in Italian the word Italy is not accented; the word Palestra is Greek) was founded on August 26, 1914 by immigrants from the Italian community in the city of São Paulo. Its foundation was due to the presence of two Italian teams in Brazil, in this case Pro Vercelli and Torino, which served as inspiration for the creation of a team that would represent the Italian community in the São Paulo championship. The main names behind the founding of Palestra were: Luigi Cervo and Luigi Marzo, employees of the Industrias Matarazzo, plus Vincenzo Ragognetti, journalist, and Ezequiel Simone, who was the oldest of them and a member of several Italian cultural entities at the time. The founding minutes, by the way, are written in Italian.
