The 1973–74 Borussia Mönchengladbach season was the 74th season in the club's history.

Borussia Mönchengladbach would reach runners-up in the 1973–74 Bundesliga which would lead them to qualify for the 1974-75 UEFA Cup. They would also reach the round-of-16, losing out to Hertha BSC via penalties.[1]
