The Derzhavin poetry festival, held in July 2022 in Laishevo, Russia
  • April 30 – Sierra Poetry festival is organised in Nevada City, California. The theme for this year is "On the Wings of Words".[1]
  • June 10 – A three-day international get together of poets and poetry translators titled Kolkata Poetry Confluence is organised in Kolkata, India by Antonym and Bhasha Sansad publishers.[2]
  • June 12 – Queensland Poetry Festival kicks off with this year's theme "Emerge" with live performances by Lorna Munro and Ethan Enoch-Barlow. The program also has special sessions on the LGBTQ community.[3]
  • September 25 – The Mayakovsky Square poetry readings are revived in Triumfalnaya Square, Moscow, in protest against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The following year, Russian poets Artyom Kamardin, Yegor Shtovba and Nikolai Dayneko are given severe prison sentences for participating or attending.[4]
  • December 7 – The End Poem is released into the public domain using a CC0 license dedication by its author, Julian Gough.[5]
