Ashok Nagar Pokhriya is the oldest housing society in Begusarai, the administrative headquarters of Begusarai District, Bihar state, India.

Ashok Nagar Pokhriya is dominated by the Bhumihar Caste system in india.Various well known people from begusarai call this place their home like bhola singh(ex member of parliament from begusarai lok sabha ,basudeo singh(ex mla from begusarai assembly constituency),ramanand singh(first president of begusarai bus association,nalni singh ,jawahar singh(ex mayor of begusarai),etc.It also has lighting,trees,guard managed by the housing association.All this is managed by the WAAR association(welfare association for ashok nagar residents) whose chairperson is puttu singh(son of jawahar singh) and treasurer is narendra kumar (son of amresh kumar singh who is the ex president of begusarai bus association).
