Bumba, Shot Ready is the autobiography of Indian actor Prosenjit Chatterjee, co-authored by Gautam Bhattacharya.[3][4] Published by Deep Prakashan, the book summarises Chatterjee's struggling days in theatres and films,[5] his career spanning over 30 years and aspects of his life that have not been shared publicly.[6][7]
The book was launched on 30 January 2018 at the hands of Soumitra Chatterjee at South City Starmark in Kolkata.[8][9] Chatterjee dedicated the book to the memory of Uttam Kumar, also immolating to Soumitra Chatterjee, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan.[10][11]
In West Bengal, it broke the record set by Bhabnaguli (My Thoughts) by Taslima Nasrin for being the most pre-ordered biographical book, amassing the record by 15,000 orders.[12][13]
