Submission declined on 1 December 2024 by RangersRus (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of films). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Hochbetrieb (Nuts & Bolts in English) is a silent slapstick short film. It received a Menzione Speciale (Special Mention) in the short film competition of the 60th Venice Film Festival[1] - "For having paid a tribute to Harold Lloyd, who shall not be forgotten, by means of modern technology".
Set on top of a high-rise construction site in the 1930s, the film depicts the antics of a foreman and his apprentice while hunting for a frog and stolen food.
The film was one of the first to be shot entirely in front of bluescreen[2]. After its release, Hochbetrieb was invited to film festivals worldwide. It won the German Federal Film Board's short film award, Short Tiger[3], and the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Shortfilm Award. 2004 it received theatrical release as part of a feature-length short film compilation[4], and in 2008 it was part of a special screening with a focus on silent cinema[5] at the Museum of Modern Art.
