Isodor Trauzl. Born 13 August 1840 in Romania. Died 10 march 1929.

19th century chemist. Developed method to test efficacy of different explosives by drilling a hole in a lead block and measuring the cavity left by the blast and measure the strength of each compound based on the cavitation it caused. Different results were classified by a number representing the strength of the compound. This became known as as the explosives Trauzl Number. Which was an effective tool until modern high explosives came on the scene and became too powerful to measure this way.
