He subsequently relocated to London, where he pursued a Master of Arts (MA) at the London College of Communication.

After completing his MA, Kaabour joined the design firm Barnbrook Studios as a designer and later senior designer. He designed Disobedient Objects, a companion book to the 2014 V&A museum exhibition of the same title,[2] and the graphics for the Daydreaming with Stanley Kubrick exhibition at Somerset House in 2016.[3] He headed the design of Rihanna's 2019 autobiography.[4]

In 2019 Kaabour founded the online initiative Takweer and in 2020, he opened his owned design studio.

Via Saqi Books, Kaabour edited and published his debut non-fiction book The Queer Arab Glossary in summer 2024. The book features illustrations from Palestinian artist Haitham (Charles) Haddad.
