Draft:Matthew Brookes
Submission declined on 31 December 2024 by Bonadea (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

- Comment: The exhibitions he has had might mean that he meets criterion 4 of the notability criteria for photographers, but again there are no sources showing that. bonadea contributions talk 12:32, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: He may be notable, but there are no secondary sources that talk about him. Most of the sources merely mention his name in the photo credits, and then there are four interviews which are WP:PRIMARY sources. Applicable notability criteria are the general criteria for biographies, and the criteria for photographers.Keep in mind that notability is not inherited – that is to say, being associated with notable people doesn't in itself make a person notable. He has taken photos of very notable people indeed, but unless independent sources talk about him in depth (without relying on his own words in interviews), he is not notable as Wikipedia defines it. bonadea contributions talk 12:30, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
