The **People and Places Exhibition** is a contemporary art showcase curated by British curator and food creative, Zaccaria Slater. Hosted at Hypha Studios HQ in London, the exhibition ran from November 29, 2024, to January 11, 2025.

- **Hannah Rot**: Investigates unfired clay in product design, emphasising temporariness and sustainability.

- **Mercedes Plazola**: Explores her Venezuelan heritage through reusing jute coffee bags to construct furniture and sculptures.

- **Maria Gil**: Examines Postmodernist design history in Poland, highlighting contrasts through divergent forms and materials.

**Venue**

Hypha Studios HQ, located at Unit 3, Euston Tower, 286 Euston Road, London, NW1 3DP, serves as the venue for this exhibition. The gallery aims to be an open and elastic space, fostering a creative hub for sharing knowledge and engaging with the community.

**Events and Workshops**

In addition to the exhibition, a series of workshops, events, talks, and conversations titled *KRAFTWERK* were scheduled to coincide with the artworks on display. These events draw inspiration from Alexander Dorner and Pontus Hultén, emphasising the gallery as a dynamic space for creative exchange, and featured workshops with ceramist Sara Howard, furniture designer Andu Masebo and gallerist Max Radford.

**Reception**

The exhibition has garnered attention for its thought-provoking content and the diverse backgrounds of its participating artists. The inaugural exhibition in May 2024 was funded through a successful crowdfunding campaign, highlighting community support and interest.

**Curator**

Zaccaria Slater, the curator of the exhibition, is a British curator, researcher and food creative. He studied at Chelsea College of Art and Central Saint Martins, His work explores the deep emotional connections people form with food and how culture is built upon it.
