Sharon Gal-Or (born in Israel 1974) is a regenerative consultant, public speaker, and author. His publications address various topics at the intersection of spirituality, ecology, the future of humanity, and regenerative movements.[1][failed verification] Gal-Or’s books include Garden of Wisdom: Timeless Teaching in an AI Era, Regenaissance: The Call to Heal, The Secret Wisdom of The New Jewish People, and additional children's books in Hebrew under the pen-name “Galorian.” Gal-Or has referred to ‘AI’ as ‘Angelic Intelligence,’[2][failed verification] and draws on ideas from Jewish philosophy and the spiritual teachings of various indigenous cultures.

Life and career

[edit]

Born on 27 November 1974, Sharon Gal-Or graduated from Tel Aviv University in 2002 with an MSc degree in Life Sciences. Influenced by a background in science and an interest in storytelling, he published his first book, Following The Sun Islands, in Hebrew in 2002, detailing his hitchhiking journey on sailboats from Israel to Brazil between 1999 and 2000. During his early career, Gal-Or worked as a field and laboratory manager while developing Daniel’s Odyssey, a trilogy that examines humanity’s history of navigation and its relationship with the sea.[3][failed verification]

Scientific Research and Publications

[edit]

In 2004, Sharon Gal-Or co-authored the peer-reviewed research article Growth responses of Pterocladiella capillacea (Rhodophyta) in laboratory and outdoor cultivation in the Journal of Applied Phycology. The study, conducted with Alvaro Israel of the Israel Oceanographic and Limnological Research Institute, examined the growth and photosynthetic responses of the red alga Pterocladiella capillacea to factors such as temperature, irradiance, and nutrient supply. The findings highlighted the species' potential for mariculture and high-quality agar production.[4]

Early Career and Innovation Management

[edit]

From 2005 to 2009, Gal-Or worked as a business consultant specializing in Green Tech, veterinary medicine, and marine biotechnology. He also managed a research laboratory in the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture during this period, contributing to developments in biological and agricultural sciences.

Toys and Games Inventions

[edit]

Between 2009 and 2016, after finishing Daniel’s Odyssey, Gal-Or moved to Hong Kong and founded Idea Sign Ltd., a toy and game licensing agency. Through this venture, he licensed several toy and game inventions to companies such as Simba Dickie Group and Funtastic. Among these products are Qubic4, Ting Cards Game, Share On Magic, and PolyPolli Pachamama and PolyPolli Seeds (scheduled for early 2025 release).

Gal-Or’s TING.Global card games have been described by educators as “The Israeli mind in a box,” aiming to spark entrepreneurial thinking and creativity.[5][6] According to coverage in Social Impact Israel, TING supports SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by providing affordable, playful ways to develop innovation skills and by engaging communities with limited access to digital resources.[5] The games also highlight Israeli innovations across various sectors and emphasize Israel’s collaborative contributions to global technology.[6]

Cultural Diplomacy and Educational Impact

[edit]

Between 2009 and 2016, Gal-Or served on the Green Energy Committee for the Independent Power Producers Forum (IPPF) and worked as the Israeli chapter of the STARS Foundation. He engaged in bilateral economic relations with Israel, Hong Kong, and mainland China,[7][failed verification] collaborating with startups and corporate leaders in fields such as smart mobility, greentech, and fintech. During this time, he organized delegations and promoted international collaborations that connected industry, government, and academia.

In 2017, he founded TING Global, an educational platform focused on interdisciplinary thinking and gamified learning tools.[8][failed verification] As reported by Israel21c, TING’s interactive card decks prompt players to propose applications for real-world Israeli innovations, fostering collaboration and creativity through play.[6] One of its programs, Challenge 18, has reached over 50 countries, encouraging engagement with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).[9][failed verification] TING Global also developed The Periodic Table of the Future of Work and Play,[10][failed verification] a conceptual framework exploring innovative paradigms in education. These initiatives, recognized by the Israeli Ministry of Education and international organizations like the United Nations, emphasize sustainability and leadership in global education.

In January 2018, Gal-Or was invited by Laurence Yee, former President and Chairman of the Cradle Program of the Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA), to join as the organization’s only non-Asian member. In 2019, Gal-Or consulted for SDG Israel, promoting SDG awareness. He continues to support communities worldwide in adopting regenerative and collaborative practices.

Creative Works and Social Campaigns

[edit]

Gal-Or’s creative projects highlight his use of storytelling and social engagement to address sustainability, happiness, and resilience. In 2015, he launched two social campaigns in Hong Kong, Banana Smile and the Kukuriku Challenge. These campaigns employed humor and creativity to promote sustainable values. Subsequently, he introduced the campaigns in Taiwan, partnering with NGOs to distribute bilingual children’s books, including Jack and the Singing Garbage Truck and The Taiwanese Turtle and the Betel Nuts, as part of the “Share Values With a Smile” campaign.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Gal-Or initiated Challenge 18, a digital program delivered via WhatsApp that encouraged participants worldwide to align their actions with the SDGs. Additionally, Gal-Or has supported petitions such as the Call to the Israeli Government to Declare a Climate Emergency and the Declaration of Regenerative Stewardship, emphasizing collective advocacy for ecological change.

In 2020, with heightened interest in regenerative communities, Gal-Or produced documentaries in Costa Rica on integrated living communities like Diamante Luz and Ecomaste, illustrating local sustainability practices. Similar initiatives in Honduras culminated in two documentaries—Roots & Wings: The Story of Crawfish Rock Community and Tales from the Sea - Pirates, Treasures, Sharks—focusing on environmental resilience and cultural heritage.

His books, such as Daniel’s Odyssey (2022) and The Secret Wisdom of the NEW Jewish People (2016), reflect his engagement with spirituality and collective responsibility. His forthcoming works, Garden of Wisdom: Timeless Teachings for an AI Era (2025) and Regenaissance: The Call to Heal (2024), examine the ethical implications of AI and advocate regenerative practices.

Thought Leadership and Global Advocacy

[edit]

Gal-Or’s initiatives span AI ethics[11][failed verification], regenerative design, and interdisciplinary innovation.[12][failed verification] He has contributed articles to outlets such as Mindplex Magazine, The Times of Israel (The Times of Israel), Asia Trend Magazine, and Medium, focusing on fostering social consciousness and addressing global challenges.

In 2024, Gal-Or co-founded LivingCities.Earth, aiming to promote regenerative urban environments in harmony with local ecosystems. The same year, he became CEO of the Impact Evaluation Foundation (IEF),[13][failed verification] advocating transparent methodologies for ecological and social impact assessment. In October 2024, he joined HealthGevity Nation as Ambassador for El Salvador, extending his advocacy to health and longevity sectors.

In 2024, Gal-Or also participated in SingularityNET’s Beneficial AGI Summit, taking part in discussions on decentralized governance and ethical development for advanced AI systems.[14] These dialogues examined frameworks to align technological progress with collective well-being, echoing Gal-Or’s focus on regenerative stewardship and community-centered values.

His work on The Periodic Table of the Future of Work and Play demonstrates a continued effort to combine education, innovation, and gamification, inviting communities to engage with future-ready skills.

Key Philosophy Elements in Gal-Or’s Teachings

[edit]

3Ls: Love, Learning, and Legacy

[edit]

Gal-Or’s “3Ls”—Love, Learning, and Legacy—serve as a conceptual framework to counter patterns of greed and domination:

  • Love fosters empathy and interconnectedness.
  • Learning promotes curiosity and continuous growth.
  • Legacy shifts focus from short-term gain to lasting, positive contributions.

SOIL and SEEDs Framework

[edit]

The “SOIL and SEEDs” framework represents a strategy for equitable and regenerative development:[16]

  • SOIL (Stewardship and Optimization of Intergenerational Land): Government-supported Community Land Trusts (CLTs) that hold land as a shared trust for community use, ensuring equitable and long-term stewardship.
  • SEEDs (Shared Ecosystems for Equitable Development): Innovation Hubs that foster locally driven solutions and regenerative economies, supported by partnerships and forward-thinking policies.

Ozeozes

[edit]

“Ozeozes” are described by Gal-Or as memes generated by Artificial general intelligence[17] to catalyze social transformation. He emphasizes the ethical considerations in deploying these powerful tools, which can influence cultural narratives toward a regenerative future or create conflict if misused.

The Pioneer’s Dilemma

[edit]

“The Pioneer’s Dilemma” describes the challenges innovators face in introducing disruptive ideas within established systems.[18] Gal-Or highlights the need for resilience, ethical foresight, and collaboration, urging pioneers to balance progress with compassion to ensure advancements serve a collective benefit.
