Draft:St Paul's Bridge

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

St Paul's Bridge was a bridge across the River Thames in London, England.

The bridge was constructed near the site of the modern Blackfriars station in 1854. As of 2016, only the supporting pillars remained.[1][2] Part of the abutment remains as a listed structure,[3]

In the 20th century, a number of proposals were made for a new St. Paul's Bridge near the cathedral, starting in 1906. All of them failed to gain acceptance, and no new bridge was built.[4]
