Stephan Jost is an art historian and curator. He was appointed the Michael and Sonja Koerner Director, and CEO at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) in 2015 and is President of the Association of Art Museum Directors.
Prior to joining the AGO Stephan was Director at the Honolulu Museum of Art from 2011 to 2016, Director at the Shelburne Museum from March 2006 to March 2011 and Director of the Mills College Art Museum from 2002 to 2006.
Stephan has an MA in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA in Art History from Hampshire College.
