Omit credentials from the title

[edit]

Wikipedia articles should omit academic credentials from the title of an article, nor should a title contain an acronym, except where it is always used as part of the name of the subject. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 04:57, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Shane Cuthbert is already mentioned in several Wikipedia articles, where his academic credentials are not used. See 2024_Cairns_Regional_Council_election § Campaign for an example of how his name is used in Wikipedia articles. Also, Candidates for public office are not inherently notable and need to meet Wikipedia:Notability (people), (although those who have been elected might be, depending on what office they hold. See Wikipedia:Notability (people)/Subnational politicians.) - Cameron Dewe (talk) 05:39, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
