Jeffrey Michael Wulkan (born June 11, 1983) is an American entrepreneur and reality TV star, notable for being the founder and CEO of Bikini Barbers.[1] He is most famous for being the eccentric star of the AXS TV show Bikini Barbershop, which first aired February 19, 2012.[2] It is a reality TV show set in his salon, Bikini Barbers, and revolves around the, often dysfunctional, day-to-day life of Wulkan and the girls he employs.[3] Wulkan is also a winemaker. He founded Mile High Wines, an aviation themed wine company inspired by his love of traveling and tasting fine wine from all over the world.
Early life
[edit]Wulkan was born in Red Bank, New Jersey and grew up in nearby Oceanport, New Jersey. He attended Shore Regional High School. He went on to achieve a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Science at Utah Valley University.[4]

Business
[edit]Bikini Barbers flagship shop opened in February 2011, in Long Branch, New Jersey.[5] Since opening his first shop Wulkan has earned the nickname 'The Hugh Hefner of Hair'.[6] Wulkan created Mile High Wines in January 2019, an aviation themed wine company inspired by his love of tasting fine wine from all over the globe.
In December 2020, Wulkan founded tech company HowTu, an online portal that connects users with qualified instructors with co-founder Angie Romasanta.
In May 2021, Wulkan also co-founded company and e-commerce site Lighten Up a Little including "tongue and cheek" type apparel, candles and pet gear.
In December 2024, Wulkan also created PlusOne a mobile app. PlusOne is an innovative app designed to help individuals connect and find companions for various activities in real-time. Unlike traditional dating apps, PlusOne focuses on fostering meaningful connections for all ages and all types of activities — from attending concerts, sporting events, and dinners to more casual meetups like studying, shopping, or working out together.
Wulkan is currently writing a memoir entitled, Catch Flights Not Feelings. Catch Flights Not Feelings is a candid, unapologetically raw memoir that blends outrageous dating escapades, high-flying pilot adventures, and entrepreneurial mishaps. It’s a journey through the skies and the streets, exploring the highs and lows of modern relationships, self-discovery, and unconventional success. At its core, this memoir reflects on how personal experiences shape the man behind the lifestyle—a former reality TV star, an airline captain, a serial entrepreneur, and a self-proclaimed playboy searching for meaning beyond the thrill of the chase.
