Minister of Economy and Finance (Korean: 기획재정부장관) is a member of the Cabinet of South Korea and is the leader and chief executive of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. In Korea, all minister nominees are required to undergo a parliamentary confirmation process, though the consent of the National Assembly is not necessary for appointment.[1]
The current minister is Choi Sang-mok, who took office on 29 December 2023.
