Why was my edit including the release of Halo 3 deleated? Other video game releases have been included in similar pages, and Halo 3 is arguably one of the most anticipated video games in video game history. It was a perfectly valid entry and I can see no reason why it was removed. Please explain.
No its not a valid entry per a huge amount of policies. The most being WP:ADVERT. In fact no other movie, music, or any other commercial product release dates have been included in any calendrical article. These articles were originally created to archive the news events (past) from the Portal:Current events. Future events such as elections and other important world events were added such as the annaversary of 9/11 and even so great controversy arose over having those 'future' events as it was slightly unencyclopedic. A compromise was made. It wasn't until this year that international holidays were added. As stated in every article, all commercial advertising will be reverted on site.
