After successfully holding her first solo concert titled Persembahan Cinta in 2008 and 2009, Rossa finally launched a new self-titled album, ROSSA, on January 14, 2009. The lead single from this album is "Terlanjur Cinta," performed as a duet with Pasha from Ungu. This song was written by her husband, Yoyo from Padi. Rossa worked on this album for approximately three years.
According to Rossa, this album was originally intended for release in 2005. However, after two years of collecting material and songs, it was only released in 2009. For her, now was the right time to release the album, especially considering the upcoming elections the following year, if the release had to be postponed again. Before its release, this album was originally titled Hidupku (My Life) by Rossa. However, due to concerns about potential controversy, the title was eventually changed to the self-titled ROSSA.
To promote this album, Rossa conducted a series of tours in seven major cities in Indonesia and one in Malaysia, collectively titled Cerita Cinta.[1]
