- 1) Found a news report dated 1990-06-24 which stated that Bising was headed to Taiwan and compared to JTWC ATCR.Jason Rees (talk) 05:41, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
- 2) Found a news report dated 1990-06-29 which stated that Klaring had moved out of PAR on 1990-06-28 and compared to JTWC ATCR.Jason Rees (talk) 05:46, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
- 3) Found a news reports that states Loleng passed V close to the Batanes provence and this is collabrated by the JTWC ATCR.Jason Rees (talk) 04:37, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
- 4) Found a news report that stated Tering skirted (missed) the country on November 26 and was heading "up". This path is verified by the JTWC ATCR.Jason Rees (talk) 04:37, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
- @Jason Rees: I think all the PAGASA names are fine for the 1990 season. Have double checked with sources, especially how Susang was only recognized by PAGASA (+ JMA) during mid-Nov by this site at page 104. Sources of Tering and Uding also confirmed in the Manila Standard. Also logic that Becky entered PAR first than Abe, so Becky was Heling, especially Heling had more fatalities than Abe / Iliang. Also Flo entered PAR, no sources but it should've been recognized. Typhoon2013 (talk) 06:12, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
Cyclone's Time
[edit]Ok, I know something is wrong with duration of some of the cyclones in the section. There couldn't have be Ten cyclones that formed on June 17 and dissipated on June 24, and some of the correctly dated cyclone are out of order. Wonderworld1995268 (talk) 05:44, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- Someone probably just copied and pasted the infobox without correcting the dates.Jason Rees (talk) 05:50, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

Typhoon Abe
[edit]I have tried to find a source for the cumulative death toll, but I cannot seem to find a replacement for the now dead encyclopedia.com link. Does anyone have a source that I might be able to use? Dustin (talk) 18:29, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Cyclonebiskit added this reference several years ago with this revision, but that's the dead link I was talking about. This is the difference between just a bit over 100 and over 250, so I think it is pretty significant that this problem be amended. Dustin (talk) 19:57, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- I have no recollection of this so just go with whatever total can be sourced. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 20:06, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Orphaned references in 1990 Pacific typhoon season
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of 1990 Pacific typhoon season's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "JTWC ATCR":
- From Tropical Storm Winona (1990): Joint Typhoon Warning Center; Naval Pacific Meteorology and Oceanography Center (1992). Annual Tropical Cyclone Report: 1990 (PDF) (Report). United States Navy, United States Air Force. Retrieved June 20, 2017.
- From Typhoon Percy (1990): Joint Typhoon Warning Center; Naval Pacific Meteorology and Oceanography Center (1992). Annual Tropical Cyclone Report: 1990 (PDF) (Report). United States Navy, United States Air Force. Retrieved January 16, 2019.
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. Feel free to remove this comment after fixing the refs. AnomieBOT⚡ 18:00, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
