Trump bias?

[edit]

Why does the 2024 election coverage talk about the fact that if Trump wins ("emerges victorious", weird phrasing) he'd be the 2nd president to serve a non-consecutive term, and says absolutely nothing about the fact that if Kamala Harris "emerges victorious" she'd be the very first female president of the united states? 2600:1700:5AB0:BFC0:9DA1:B974:5570:7158 (talk) 20:35, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Generative AI

[edit]

The section on AI reads like an advertisement for OpenAI. I think it’s premature to conclude this technology is of such importance to the 2020s decade that it belongs in the lead.

In addition, food delivery apps…a major innovation, really? They were done before in the 2000s and many of them went bankrupt as the first internet bubble imploded. The only reason the current generation of delivery apps hasn’t is 15 years of low interest rates from 2008-22; many of the big names are yet to be profitable.

I think most people are in agreement the biggest news for the decade so far have been COVID first and the foreign conflicts (Ukraine-Russia, Israel-Palestine etc) second. The new technologies section is premature & pretty speculative and maybe overly driven by Silicon Valley hype than have actually proven their importance especially at the decade level. 2601:642:4C00:6E0F:403A:CFFD:3D53:DC9E (talk) 00:03, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hurricane Helene

[edit]

Any reason why Hurricane Helene ain’t mentioned in the tropical cyclones disaster list section; especially given the fact that Milton is? Hurricane Clyde 🌀my talk page! 01:11, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
