Stub?

[edit]

How is this a stub? --Onceonthisisland 23:10, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't have ANY information about who found the list when or who translated it. That is all crucial to understanding who knew what when as far as later material using the info in the kings list. If none of the references have this information, there must be sources that do, such as the original archaeological report. The author hasn't done all the homework to make this a good article. 100.15.120.122 (talk) 13:15, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Akhenanen. - 8th dynasty

[edit]

Where is he? Did he use another name? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.94.234.108 (talk) 19:09, 30 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Either you have a typo here or the source you got this name from is a bad source. Check your data and try again. 100.15.120.122 (talk) 13:17, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Move?

[edit]

Should the article be moved to Abydos King List (Seti I) to help clarify/distinguish between Abydos King List (Ramesses II).

Definitely agree it should be moved. I've been looking at this list for several days for a project. Only just realized there are two such lists. Not an expert by any means but based on a few searches 'Seti I' seems correct. 92.15.95.95 (talk) 17:23, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Framing Hieroglyphs?

[edit]

Both the main list of 76 kings (top 2 rows) and the repeated nomen and prenomen of Seti I (3rd row) have additional hieroglyphs framing them (see image of the list). It would be useful if this article could be expanded to explain what these say and why. It looks like the top 2 rows start 'King of Upper Egypt' above each cartouche, and the last row 'Behold! <something>.' I would not presume to edit the article however, as I'm not remotely qualified. 81.178.255.194 (talk) 14:34, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
