Aphilodontidae → Aphilodontinae – I request this move to reflect the renaming of this group of centipedes, which has been demoted from the family Aphilodontidae to the subfamily Aphilodontinae, as I explain in this Wikipedia article. Authorities have regarded Aphilodontidae as an invalid name for more than a decade now (since 2014). The subfamily name Aphilodontinae has been used instead by the three leading scholarly articles on the subject (published in 2019 and 2022 and cited in the Wikipedia article). See WP:NAMECHANGES on "Article titles." I think there might be some controversy only because I see an editor created a Redirect page for "Aphilodontinae" in 2021 redirecting users to "Aphilodontidae" instead. It would make more sense to redirect users in the opposite direction, from the invalid name to the one now in active use. HCUPa (talk) 16:13, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
