Split Lieutenant Cave J. Couts

[edit]

I think Cave Jognson Couts should have his own article. Things relevant to this article should of course remain, but a lot of biographical info about him should be put in another article. He is of note in other articles such as Rancho Guajome so it would be helpful to create one separate from this article. His son is also notable (Same name as him), having been an engineer and working in Central America as well as California. Christopher Arturo Aragón Vides (talk) 23:57, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Has a page been started for him yet? It seems only fitting, given his importance to topics like Rancho Guajome. It seems as though that this family has a lot of history in the city of San Diego. Some mentions of them could be seen in:
1.1 : "The Miramar", As well is in the page 3rd Cavalry Regiment (United States), were Lieutenant Cave J. Couts's photograph is listed. As well as mentioned in, Fort Yuma, Rancho Vallecitos de San Marcos, Pioneer Park (San Diego), Joshua Bean, Rancho Agua Hedionda. The page Tennessee in the American Civil War within the references "'The negros think when Old Lincoln takes his last they will all be free.' The letter of Martha Gilbert of Robertson County to Cave Johnson Couts"
Also would Samuel Colt have any relation?
