[edit]Can someone mention that it's a member of the superclass lophotrochozoa Marcraymond (talk) 02:06, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
apparent typos
[edit]Is it "brachial" or "branchial"? Also "oxygen depended"... AnonMoos (talk) 13:14, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
Monozygotic twins
[edit]It seems that we have here a situation of almost identical twins: Octopus and Octopus vulgaris aka Common octopus. Wouldn't be wise to remove one of the two or, otherwise, to dedicate one to the "Octopus vulgaris" topic and to move the other to the wider topic of "Octopoda"? This same section has been posted also to the Octopus talk page. Carlotm (talk) 10:56, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
Seems overly focused on biochemistry
[edit]This article goes into great detail about certain aspects of physiology, but I'd love to read about other aspects of physiology (such as the smaller brains I've heard control the tentacles, or the manner of skin color control, or the mechanics of the suckers, to name a few examples). Also, in a larger sense, I'd love to learn more about common octopus behaviors, the reasons for the widespread success of common octopuses, their apparent intelligence, et cetera. Thanks to anyone who can help. 8.20.65.4 (talk) 16:41, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
