Insulting and wrong
[edit]Dutch traditional food is loved and tasty. This article is insulting and wrong. 47.144.60.29 (talk) 02:10, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
No discussion of cheeses
[edit]Cheese is only mentioned in passing with one reference to Gouda. The Netherlands has as rich and diverse of a cheese culture as France or Spain. 47.144.60.29 (talk) 02:14, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- The information on cheeses is indeed scattered across the article, which is due to the organisation of the article in three narratives: (1) historical development (2) regional specialties (3) consumption moments. Cheeses are mentioned under regional specialties and under lunch time (cheese sandwich). But indeed it is somewhat hidden. I think, however, that given the current organisation of the articles that cannot be avoided. Unless you or someone else can come up with an actionable, fully thought through proposal how to fit in more on the cheese culture (that is balanced with other culinary products) I think this is just how it is. Perhaps this can be covered in another more focussed article on Dutch cheese (which now merely redirects to an incomplete list of Dutch cheeses). Arnoutf (talk) 19:21, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
