Also known locally as Pakeha settlers

I don't believe this to be correct. Pakeha settler makes me think of people like Thomas Kendall. Usually we don't even specify European when discussing the settlers in New Zealand contexts and it's most common to just see 'settler' on it's own without disambiguation.
