Color
[edit]It used to be black. When was it repainted green? (I must say it looks a lot better in the new paint scheme.) 66.234.220.195 (talk) 15:05, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- That was part of the refurbishing done in 1999 and 2000. —EncMstr 17:35, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, it has not been black since 1964, and was then yellow ochre until 1999, but EncMstr is correct that 1999 is when it was repainted green. However, I note that this is a 5-year-old discussion, and information on those two color changes was already added to the article (by me) in 2009. SJ Morg (talk) 10:04, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Steel or iron
[edit]The gratings are steel, but the article does not say if the basic structure is steel or iron. FatBear1 (talk) 01:02, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
- It is steel, and I have added that to the article. Very few if any bridges were still being made of wrought iron at the time this bridge was built. SJ Morg (talk) 10:05, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
Bicycle counter
[edit]Hawthorne Bridge bicycle counter was merged to this article. Feel free to use this stub for future expansion, if applicable. ---Another Believer (Talk) 06:04, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
