Using range of numbers

[edit]

For every country with conflicting official sources from the government on the number of indigenous people, I believe should have a range. I saw this on the old page before the newer edits but I believe a range best suits this matter. For example, in the United States, the official government varies between 9 million and 3 million, just showing it as 3 million wouldnt capture the full reality. Certainly not in this situation, because giving a range implies some imprecision in the results obtained for a given definition, not results from totally distinct definitions. Remsense ‥  12:20, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, is there a way for all figures to be shown in an area? YusufKarmin (talk) 12:24, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think it would be just fine to stick with one figure in the infobox, and mention the other in the body of the article itself. Infoboxes should not be overstuffed with nuances and overqualifications. Remsense ‥  12:25, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, thank you for clarifying. YusufKarmin (talk) 12:27, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization of "indigenous"

[edit]

This article uses both upper and lowercase. It should be consistent, and the practice should also be consistent across articles. -- Beland (talk) 17:24, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
