Requested move 10 January 2025

[edit]

Lake FireLake Fire (2015) – This is no longer the primary topic. I don't think there is a clear primary topic in this case, so disambiguating all articles is my preference. The current title could redirect to the yet-uncreated Lake Fire (disambiguation). PrinceTortoise (he/himpokeinspect) 22:04, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I've created a table for superficial comparison of the three fires:

Year Acres burned Injuries Structures damaged or destroyed Pageviews October–December
Lake Fire (2015) 31,359 6 4 287
Lake Fire (2020) 31,089 4 36 (not a typo) 300
Lake Fire (2024) 38,664 7 5 1130

The most recent fire has the most attention right now, but I would expect it to drop in years to come. Otherwise, the three fires have roughly similar long-term significance. I'll be going offline for the next few days, so I'll let the discussion play out without comment. Cheers, PrinceTortoise (he/himpokeinspect) 22:04, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Support - 2015 and 2020 were long enough ago so their pageviews have basically leveled out. 2015 is defo not a PRIMARYTOPIC, and neither is 2020/2024, so disambiguating them is a good idea. Wildfireupdateman :) (talk) 22:24, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
