Minor characters

[edit]

This South Korean government page talks about how the wife of the Pakistani character is played by an Indian PhD student https://www.korea.net/NewsFocus/HonoraryReporters/view?articleId=206306 WhisperToMe (talk) 10:11, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

significance of number?

[edit]

how is it that the lead/winner has the LAST number of the entire squad? was this discussed in the plot?

i will refrain from further comment, since someone objected to my prior wording. but the basic question above needs to be addressed in the article. having the lead/winner be the exact LAST entrant is far too coincidental to leave unexplained. 2601:19C:527E:56C0:4580:F690:FFE2:7300 (talk) 18:09, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Military service

[edit]

Hey, User:Paper9oll

"Despite his gung-ho demeanor, Dae-ho gets a panic attack while supporting Gi-hun's rebellion, putting his military experience to doubt." Law mandates conscriptment in South Korea, Dae-ho definitely served.

The only ones doing WP:SPECULATION is anyone claiming that Dae-ho faked being a Marine considering he had to go to mandatory conscription at some point. It is also weird how someone would question since he did not fail to provide his Class number when asked. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2804:3d5c:b300:7b0:540a:406b:f7af:c17d (talk) 07:42, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits (1, 2) were removed as you added original research and speculative content. In addition, to adding commentary content. You may also want to read MOS:TELEVISION. 🎉🎆 Paper9oll 🎆🎉 (🔔📝) 09:48, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Off topic
Maybe do not vandalize talk topic texts and falsely accuse it of name talking, too. 2804:3D5C:B300:7B0:540A:406B:F7AF:C17D (talk) 12:00, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Calling me Mr. "I'll delete this hehe" (diff) is clearly a form WP:PERSONALATTACKS. You're required to be WP:CIVIL. 🎉🎆 Paper9oll 🎆🎉 (🔔📝) 12:55, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you did delete a whole sentence. 2804:3D5C:B300:7B0:540A:406B:F7AF:C17D (talk) 12:59, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I removed and/or redacted Mr. "I'll delete this hehe" (diff) as per WP:RPA quote "Derogatory comments about other editors may be removed by any editor". 🎉🎆 Paper9oll 🎆🎉 (🔔📝) 13:03, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No, you removed a whole sentence in the actual article page, and therefore yes, you did delete it, and to delete something you have to be aware of doing that, and your brain automatically will process it as "I'll delete this sentence over here", unless you tripped over your keyboard and magically deleted a sentence out of the article. And how saying "I'll delete this hehe" is a derogatory comment or a personal attack? Your views are flawed and incorrect. 2804:3D5C:B300:7B0:540A:406B:F7AF:C17D (talk) 13:13, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Very Good another WP:PERSONALATTACKS. Content pertaining to initial question were already addressed using Wikipedia's policies and guidelines as per above. 🎉🎆 Paper9oll 🎆🎉 (🔔📝) 13:14, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Non existant personal attack, that is new.
So, I feel like you did a WP:PERSONALATTACKS against me by saying that I was uncivilized (You said I need to be WP:CIVIL, and I personally felt attacked), and I do like that you do not. 2804:3D5C:B300:7B0:540A:406B:F7AF:C17D (talk) 13:18, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This "Very Good another WP:PERSONALATTACKS" implies that I am rather surprised that instead of not commenting on the content, you decided to have another personal attacks in your reply. It also looks like you're unaware on which of your wording in your reply is considered as WP:PERSONALATTACKS hence let me quote it explicitly. These are "your brain" and "you tripped over your keyboard" neither which is WP:CIVIL and is explicitly targeting towards me. 🎉🎆 Paper9oll 🎆🎉 (🔔📝) 13:38, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean by that?
The brain is the organ responsible for decision making. If having a brain somehow makes you upset, that is not my fault.
If you re-read the reply, you'll see that you misinterpreted it - by mistake or on malicious purpose, I don't know.
"When you go to take a action (such as deleting a word or text) the human brain has to recognise that it is taking the rational action to do as such, and therefore you did it. Unless that when doing that specific action, in a fictional scenario, you'd have tripped and made the action on accident - or your cat walked over the keyboard."
Does this makes sense now? It is a rewording of what I said - To do the action of deleting a sentence you did so with conscience and it was not a accident. You cannot falsely accuse someone of doing personal attacks simply for misreading their words, as this would fall under the straw man fallacy. 2804:3D5C:B300:7B0:540A:406B:F7AF:C17D (talk) 13:49, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Regardless, I still intepretated your comments specifically "your brain" and "you tripped over your keyboard" as insulting and a form of personal attacks. I'm closing this off-topic discussion as I had already answered your question on the removal. This will be my final reply to this off-topic discussion. 🎉🎆 Paper9oll 🎆🎉 (🔔📝) 13:56, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

User:Paper9oll If you interpretated the comments like that then I take you acted in malice and will disregard it since it is clear that by "your brain" I refer to the human brain rational function, and by "tripped over a keyboard" I refer to a hipothetical scenario where someone did a action in Wikipedia by accident. The only way someone could take it as insult is by being a malicious person acting in harmful acts and deliberated trying to cause harm to someone else by ignoring the context. If your personally saw it that way, that is on you, not me, since I never worded it as a insult but you decided to "straw man" it and try to cause me harm by accusing me of being a trolling account when falsely reporting me, despite knowing that you took two sentences out of context.

Vandalism

[edit]

User:Btspurplegalaxy Cease the vandalism immediatelly. Thank you. 2804:3D5C:B300:7B0:540A:406B:F7AF:C17D (talk) 12:35, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

User:Btspurplegalaxy There, I added the source - the transcript to the Season 2, Episode 04, where it is LITERALLY told in-screen that they are Marines. I don't know why you'd act like this needed a source just because you never watched the show, but there you go, now quit vandalising this at once since you refused to try to talk over in ONE OF THE TALK PAGES, including yours, my IP's talk page, and THIS talk page, and submitted a false report. If you keep vandalizing I'll be forced to report you and rightfully so. A SOURCE HAS BEEN ADDED so stop spamming reverts. 2804:3D5C:B300:7B0:540A:406B:F7AF:C17D (talk) 13:10, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
All information on Wikipedia must be backed by a reliable source, as this is a key guideline. Refer to WP:PROOF for further details. Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️ 13:18, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
What's more reliable to a TV show than the full transcript of said TV show? 2804:3D5C:B300:7B0:540A:406B:F7AF:C17D (talk) 13:19, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I justtt added yet another source, what is your excuse now? How many sources do I need to be able to not be victim of your targetted vandalism? 2804:3D5C:B300:7B0:540A:406B:F7AF:C17D (talk) 13:24, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You can't just add a random sources, it needs to be a reliable source. Refer to this:
WP:RSPS Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️ 13:32, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You're free to find sources yourself and include them if you're the only Wikipedian complaining about it in the whole article.
Also, instead of spamming revert or manually deleting whole paragraphs, use the good old reliable tool of "[citation needed] which allows for editors enough time to find sources and submit them.
And again, it is 100% unnecessary for a source there - it is just event in the TV Show which is unquestionable. It's audio-visual information, the only other source one could manage is to include the literal scene in video format... 2804:3D5C:B300:7B0:540A:406B:F7AF:C17D (talk) 13:43, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It's important to avoid adding unsourced information. If you're contributing, it's your responsibility to provide the sources, not mine. We have established guidelines for a reason, and it's not difficult to take a moment to find a reliable source. Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️ 13:51, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It is not difficult to avoid being a vandal. 2804:3D5C:B300:7B0:540A:406B:F7AF:C17D (talk) 13:53, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You're the one who was adding unsourced information. So don't throw it on me. Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️ 13:55, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
And you refused to even bring it to the talk pages or add the [citation needed] format, instead reverting it constantly, and after sources being added you proceeded to disregard them and warrant another removal until a "reliable source" is added - Yet the only sources available for this already have been provided - the transcript and the review of the episode which mentions the two Marines teaming up. 2804:3D5C:B300:7B0:540A:406B:F7AF:C17D (talk) 13:58, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You shouldn't have keep adding it back when I reverted you the first time. Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️ 14:00, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You should not have vandalised it. Do you know what exists for this?
[citation needed]
And
[better source needed]
Yet it was 100% unnecessary to get a source just for a smmall sentence that says "Oh yes this character teamed up with this other character, oh and he is a former Marine" WHEN HE BEING A FORMER MARINE played a major role as he took fight and joined Gi-hun in raiding the control room during the 7th episode of the 2nd season. 2804:3D5C:B300:7B0:540A:406B:F7AF:C17D (talk) 14:05, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Your fate will be determined by the Administrators at the noticeboard. I won't be continuing this conversation, so this is where it concludes. Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️ 14:09, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
As long as you cease vandalizing the article, I will thank you. If you continue vandalism, then I'll simply ask you in the talk pages, once again, to cease at once. 2804:3D5C:B300:7B0:540A:406B:F7AF:C17D (talk) 14:11, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Per WP:PLOTCITE details about what happens in a work that do not require interpretation are not required to be cited to secondary sources, though it is can be helpful in serial works to cite the particular episode. The marine thing is explicitly brought up repeatedly, so would not require a secondary source as a citation, but a claim like "Jung-bae misuses South Korean marine terminology" would. -- Patar knight - chat/contributions 14:29, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
