Mansu Hill Grand Monument
Visitors bowing in front of statues of North Korean leaders Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il at the Mansu Hill Grand Monument in Pyongyang, North Korea. These statues, each 22 metres (72 ft) tall, are central to the complex, which also includes monuments titled Anti-Japanese Revolutionary Struggle and Socialist Revolution. The statue of Kim Il-sung was completed in 1972, in celebration of his 60th birthday. The statue of Kim Jong-il was added in 2011, following his death.Photograph: Bjørn Christian Tørrissen

Grammar correction

[edit]
In April 1972, Kim Jong Il erected the monument in honor of Kim Il Sung's 60th birthday. The monument features the Great Leader alone overlooking Pyongyang.

That should be "featured", as it describes how the monument appeared in the past. (I'd fix it myself, but I've been barred from editing WP because people preferred redundancy and unnecessary words. As long as that attitude prevails, WP will always seem amateurish, IMHO.) – 2604:3D08:447C:B600:E0C8:ACFF:3CA9:CBD0 (talk) 11:36, 24 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
