[edit]Whether or not the 'orang minyak' is real or not (presumably not), I know belief in it is, and has been covered in Fortean Times. I guess it's a kind of Malay Yeti or Bigfoot!

[edit]Didn't the Tok Raja (Kelantan Thai Buddhist monk with highly-attained spiritual powers) helped to stop this spirit/s?
Can anyone clarify and verify this?
