Information on how the PRA test is conducted is at http://www.pancreas-kidney.com/hla.html
The PRA is a crude test. With low-cost antibody tests available today, it is now possible to specify which HLA antibodies the patient has. We also know the distribution of HLA allotypes in the general population, so a calculated PRA can be determined.
