Merge Park City articles
[edit]Both articles, Park City Mountain Resort and Park City Resort appear to be talking about the same resort. There is in fact only one resort named Park City Resort or Mountain Resort. Anyone have any time to do this? Thanks! JeffreyN 01:53, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, the official name of it is Park City Mountain Resort. I know this because I live in Park City. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.123.129.173 (talk) 20:26, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Ski Patrol Strike
[edit]@Magnolia677, your second revert was about my edits giving undue weight to the effects of the ski patrol strike (Long lines, social media). However, WP:UNDUE (Which you cited in your edit summary) states that views should be published in proportion to their prominence to reliable sources. The effects I listed in my edit was the main point in its corresponding article citation. Since I am not giving any one side more spotlight than the other in my edits, I do not see how WP:UNDUE was violated. I would greatly appreciate any additional comments you have and suggestions for improving wiki content about the ongoing ski patrol strike. ~~mAyLiNgOeEd (Talk to me!) - Why do readers need to know about disabled social media comments and long lines? This isn't a Facebook page. Wikipedia should report on what is encyclopedic, not on every trivial detail of a labor dispute. Magnolia677 (talk) 11:41, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- This is not necessarily "every trivial detail". Long lines highlight the actual impacts of the event and are the main point of most articles covering the strike. Traditionally, I would agree with you that such points are trivial, but the impacts i've cited are instead the main impacts of the event, rather than trivial details.
- The below three articles all talk about seemingly trivial details as main points. WP:UNDUE says that wiki coverage should be in proportion to coverage by reliable sources.
