Pirate
[edit]The end of the article has Maynard listed in the Category "British Pirates". Is this true? Was the guy who killed Blackbeard, at one point in his life, a pirate? 75.90.45.229 (talk) 17:08, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- No he was not although apparently he did help himself to some of the money after the battle which did not happen off the coast of North Carolina but in the Pamlico Sound which is inshore ie west of the barrier island — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1702:2340:9470:4155:A65C:D5CF:95AF (talk) 22:02, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
