Infobox image

[edit]

I received the image [[File:St Giles House Dorset.png]] from Nicholas Ashley-Cooper, 12th Earl of Shaftesbury with a request to switch out the image of the house. I have explained that there are no guarantees that the image will be retained in the article beyond my initial revision. I have no personal preference. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Cind.amuse 03:41, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Birds of Prey section

[edit]

I would like to propose deletion of the Persecution of Birds of Prey section, added to this article on 5th September 2023. Having researched this, I can't see a reason why this has been put on the St Giles House page as this content is not relevant to it. I cannot find any legitimate connection between the gamekeeper and St Giles House - he does not appear to have been an employee of the house or working on the estate at the time of the alleged incident. Only one quoted source - Raptor Persecution UK [1][2] - references the estate and I would question the validity and credibility of this publication as a source. The house and the estate are not mentioned in the Guardian [3] or Dorset Echo [4], both of which are arguably more credible. The fact that Dorset is reported as being a hotspot of wild bird persecution does not appear directly relevant to St Giles House. Grateful for others' views on removing this section from the St Giles House article. 2010Sherwood (talk) 19:06, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
