• ... that adult Megaphragma mymaripenne, a 200μm long insect of a similar size to single celled organisms, have nervous systems several magnitudes smaller than other insects and in which many neurons lack nuclei?

• Hook fact verified, hook is rather long, I would go for either alt1 or alt2. Article length newness and are good. No policy issues seen, and one small rewrite done.
