Plot

[edit]

George is invited to Edmond Elephant's birthday party - while Emily invites Danny, Suzy and Peppa as helpers for the little ones.

Summary

[edit]

The episode starts out, Mr. Zebra arrives in his post truck to deliver a letter to Peppa's house. Mummy Pig grabs the letter, it's a party invitation. Peppa says it must be for her, Mummy Pig opens the letter, revealing it's for George. George is invited to Edmond's birthday party. Peppa asks if it says George and Peppa, but it only says just George. Peppa didn’t want to go to a ridiculous baby party anyway. The phone rings. Mummy Pig picks it up. It's for Peppa. It's from Emily. Peppa greets her. Emily greets her as well, and asks if she wants to go to Edmond's party, as her pal. Peppa does, and Emily informs her that her mummy wants them to help with the little ones. Peppa says she can help.

Danny and Suzy are also assistants. Peppa is delighted. She hangs up. We see the sheep, rabbits, and zebras arrive at Emily's house. Everyone is there for the party. George, Richard, Zuzu, and Zaza enter the house with gifts. The assistants soon follow. They greet Mummy Elephant, and the party is about to begin. The first game is called Musical Statues, and all the toddlers want to play. Peppa clarifies the rules: when the music plays, they dance, and when it stops, they must freeze like a statue. If anyone moves, they're out of the game. Danny counts down, and the game starts. The toddlers stand still, but Peppa motivates them to dance. They begin dancing to her order until Danny stops the music.

Suzy saw Zuzu blinking, so she was out. Danny proceeded with the music, and the toddlers started dancing again. He quickly halted the music, and the toddlers froze. Peppa noticed George was still moving, so he was out. Richard squeaked and Edmond moved a little, so they were both out. Zaza is the winner and got a medal made of real plastic gold. She laughed while the others cried. Emily informed her mom, who was putting party hats on the table, that Musical Statues was over. She said it was time for Pass the Parcel. The toddlers stopped wailing and cheered. Danny and Peppa explained the rules: when the music plays, pass the parcel around. When it stops, take some paper off. Suzy counted down and started the music.

Edmond gives the parcel to Richard, who gives it to George. George shakes the parcel. Peppa tells him to pass it. He gives it to Zaza, who gives it to Zuzu, who gives it back to Edmond. The music stops, and Edmond gets a medal. He laughs and gives it to Richard as the music starts again. Richard shakes the parcel. Peppa tells Richard to hurry up and Danny informs him to take the paper off. Richard gets a medal and laughs. He gives it to George. The music stops. George gets a medal and laughs. Zaza and George squabble over who gets the parcel. Suzy tells George to pass the parcel, but George doesn't listen. The music stops, and George takes the parcel. He gets another medal. Peppa informs him that it's Zaza's medal because he already has one. Peppa gives Zaza the medal, and George cries. The music starts again. Richard gives the parcel to George, who gives it to Zaza, who gives it to Zuzu, and then to Edmond. Edmond unwraps it and gets a giant panda teddy bear, which makes him the winner and the other toddlers cry again.

Pass the Parcel is finished, now it's time for food. The helpers sit down before the children, making them all cry. The helpers get to eat after the little ones. They get up, and the children all sit down. They put on the party hats. George asks for juice, Richard asks for juice, so does Edmond. Zuzu and Zaza ask for jelly which Suzy gives them. Richard asks for more juice. Mummy Elephant puts a chocolate cake down on the table. She tells him happy birthday, followed by the others. Edmond blows the candles out with his trunk. He giggles. The parents arrive, all the children run out quickly. The helpers slowly walk out. Peppa says it's not easy looking after children, Suzy needs to sit down, and Danny says he needs a holiday. They then all giggle.

Trivia

[edit]
  • This is the first episode in which Zuzu and Zaza appear without Zoe Zebra.
  • The children cry 5 times in this episode, not counting the error down below, making the most characters to cry in any episode of the entire series.
  • Edmond behaves like the other toddlers in this episode.
  • The crying sounds that Zuzu and Zaza make in this episode were recycled from Daisy and Poppy from Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom.
  • This episode aired on Nick Jr. exactly two years after it aired on Channel 5.

Goofs

[edit]
  • In one scene, George is smiling, but his face changes and switches back in one frame.
  • When Peppa said "You're moving George, You're out!", even though George wasn't moving.
  • When we cut back to the living room, Zaza cries before Pass the Parcel starts despite the fact that she won.
    File:CryingError.jpeg
  • When Mummy Elephant comes to play Pass the Parcel, Zuzu has Zaza's medal.
    • This episode possibly confirms who is Zuzu and who is Zaza, because of their ears.
  • In Pass the Parcel, Peppa says that Zaza gets the medal that George stole, even though he stole it from Zuzu. More to the point, Zaza already got a medal in Musical Statues.
  • When it's the final game of Pass the Parcel, Zuzu and Zaza's tails are missing, and Edmond was passing despite it being Zaza's turn last time.
  • When the little children cry at the big children for taking the seats first, Edmond is smiling for one frame before he cries.
  • When Zuzu and Zaza put on their hats, they swap colors.
  • When Mummy Elephant bring the cake, the other foods were erroneously gone.
