Misterpither is the handle name of an editor from the U. S. who goes by the name of Jonathan. His handle name is named after Sir Michael Palin's character from Monty Python's Flying Circus, his favourite comedy show.

Me, Myself and I

[edit]
Sir Michael Palin, whose ever travelling Monty Python era character Mister Pither inspired my Wikipedia name.

I have been casually strolling around Wikipedia since around 2005, if my memory serves it right. I have not gone into serious editing until at least 2011, but that was when I didn't have my own account. Finally I took a bold decision to create an account and then so Misterpither was conceived.

I'm very much interested in the 20th century era of popular and obscure culture and so I would just go from ABBA to Captain Beefheart easily. But about myself, I love to deal with anything media related; photo editing, cameras, collecting vinyls and playing several musical instruments as well as music. As of 2025 I have logged around 1,300+ movies in the past five years, rated over 1000+ albums and singles, but I haven't got around to watching some of the classics because life happens. I am also into anything computers. What works on the inside, or using it just because it's convenient, I'll try to tackle computers and learn much about them!

I edit more than I create. When it comes to articles, these days I also consider books (the nonfictional department), but sometimes I hover around fan pages and resources I consider useful. I am always finding ways to make it solid and serious enough for any readers. These days in the passage of time, making an article solid is so much more important than ever.

Very rarely would I tamper with articles covering the 21st century and beyond and if I do, it's meant for technical corrections and not rewriting facts. I leave it up to the others because I'd rather be the first eyewitness by watching the news today!

Wikiquotes is in my opinion a really good one because it is just the words alone, and it's part of trying to contextualize things. My contribution to Wikimedia Commons (don't know how to set up a universal page) which you can visit.

What's your purpose, Mister Pither?

[edit]
  • To make any article competent.
  • Entertainment, music, media, the arts... If there's an article, I'll give it a look and try to see what I can do.
  • Make it fair.
