- I have added more sources as there are multiple covering her fugitive status, arrest, trial, and appeals from local NBC, ABC, FOX, and Dallas news stations as well as nationally on Snapped, NBC Dateline, CNN and international coverage by the BBC and Independent. I do believe being in the FBI Top Ten Most Wanted List in its self is notable since second criteria to be added "Second, it must be believed that the nationwide publicity afforded by the program can be of assistance in apprehending the fugitive, who, in turn, should not already be notorious due to other publicity." This is also supported by the FBI stating in multiple cases, but on Dateline about this case specifically, how much publicity this generated internationally for her to be arrested in Mexico. That's being said, it is most likely common opinion that being on the list makes you notable since you have otherwise would not be and the list is to make a person notable for capture. Some others sources by Heavy, and Cinemaholic that may be in the same vein as the Texas Monthly article. DigitalPhantoms (talk) 20:08, 16 November 2024 (UTC)

Recent edit reversion
[edit]In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.
I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.
I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. ~~~~ S Philbrick(Talk) 18:16, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- It is possible that what I wrote is too similar to the vice article which is difficult when trying to summarize a summary. There's only so much you can remove or change without losing the facts. However, some of the other edits I made having nothing to do with the Vice article. The FBI infobox and his listing as #339 in the lead section, all comes from info on the FBI website. The first paragraph of the winter hill gang was already there and i just added another citation that backed it up. Also his arrested on the personal life section cannot be changed. He was found with three machine pistols attached with silencers. There isn't another way to write that fact. If the Vice article summaries are too close to how they wrote it I will try and rewrite another way. DigitalPhantoms (talk) 18:28, 20 November 2024 (UTC)

Article about Brenda Delgado
[edit]Hi DigitalPhantoms. I have recently reviewed the article you started about Brenda Delgado. I have left a comment on the article's talk page that you might like to contribute to. Before you write your next article about a person convicted of a crime, I suggest you read some Wikipedia guidelines about WP:CRIME and WP:BLPCRIME, as well as WP:LOWPROFILE and WP:BLP1E, to appreciate the issues of writing about WP:MURDERS and the WP:CRIMINALS that commit them. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 20:25, 21 December 2024 (UTC)
WikiProject banners
[edit]Hi DigitalPhantoms, I noticed you recently copied WikiProject banners from an article about Brenda Delgado to the talk page for the article about the Murders of Anthony Palmisano and Edwin R. Woodriffe. Please do not do this, as it results in a misleading assessment and potentially incorrect WikiProjects being applied. If you do copy the WikiProject banners between articles, please remove the class and importance ratings as well as the listas and other attribute(s) from the project banners. Also remove any attributes or banners that are not relevant to the target article. This will ensure new articles are properly assessed. Your attention to these details will be appreciated. Thank you. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 08:17, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Cameron Dewe i could not for the life of me find how to add the banners originally. I think it was some type of source editing thing I did a while back. wouldn't happen to have a link on how and what to do with WP banners would you? DigitalPhantoms (talk) 08:19, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- Generally, each WikiProject has its own template banners that are named after the project that explains how to place a banner on an article talk page.
- For example WikiProject Crime and Criminal Biography has a Template:WikiProject Crime and Criminal Biography that advises pasting the following text onto an article talk page.
- {{WikiProject Crime and Criminal Biography |class= |importance= }}
- The banners for other WikiProjects are similar, although some get far more complex.
- However, simply posting:
- {{WikiProject Crime and Criminal Biography}}
- is enough to display the banner for the Crime and Criminal Biography WikiProject and alert assessors that an article needs assessment.
- If you know the name of the WikiProject you want then
- {{WikiProject <WikiProject name>}}
- will often work, where <WikiProject name> is the name of the WikiProject you want. Such as {{WikiProject United States}}
- There are a couple of thousand different WikiProjects in the WikiProject Directory - Cameron Dewe (talk) 09:14, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Cameron Dewe how would I know which ones apply to the article? do the same ones kinda just crop up within similar circles or is just my best guess from the directory? DigitalPhantoms (talk) 09:23, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- Have a look at the directory to see what subjects match the article concerned. If you are familiar with a library catalogue then the WikiProject subjects are grouped in a similar way. If an article is primarily related to a specific country then most of the countries of the world are represented, so are the continents as well as some states and cities in some countries. If your article is about a person then WikiProject Biography is often a good starting point. Most WikiProjects have a statement about their scope which explains what sort of articles they are interested in. Generally, one or two banners are enough to start with, such as a country banner and a subject banner. Other editors will often add more, once you add the first banner to a talk page. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 09:47, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Cameron Dewe good to know. thanks for the info. Wikipedia has far more intricate detail than i thought. DigitalPhantoms (talk) 09:48, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
