[edit]Hi Ogahpah, yes, leaving comments on people's talk page is the way to communicate, although you should always sign your comment with four tildes (~), which will leave your signature. I see that you are developing an article for Victor Griffin. It would be hard to establish notability, but I see some published references about him. Tall Chief might be easier. Let me know what you need help with. You can respond under my comment on this page. Using a ":" before your text will create an indent. Good luck! Yuchitown (talk) 04:26, 10 March 2016 (UTC)Yuchitown
Thank you! I am going to work on getting more source documents. I think I have enough stuff to flesh out Victor's article. If you see anything that you think should be re-organized or re-worded please let me know or feel free to edit it. Thank you for your help! Ogahpah (talk) 17:32, 11 March 2016 (UTC)
- Worked on the Victor Griffin (Quapaw) article and added citations. I resubmitted it for review, so we'll see how that goes. It's far better sourced than similar articles for Native American religious or political leaders. I would not recommend using the Wikipedia:Articles for creation process in the future. You can create a draft article on your own use pages, for instance User:Ogahpah/Tall Chief. Then once it's ready to go with sufficient sources, you can move it to the main article space Tall Chief. I'd recommend joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Indigenous peoples of North America. You can use the talk page there to ask questions or request assistance. Have a good one! [edit]Hello, I'm Magnolia677. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Jefferson County, Arkansas, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 18:22, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
Hello.. I seem to have done something wrong. I could have sworn I did include citations. There are multiple references to my edit though. I was noting that Bonne was of French and Quapaw ancestry. It certainly seems unfair to minimize Indigenous contributions to the history of Arkansas. Perhaps you can help me.
You can find citations here: https://www.cityofpinebluff-ar.gov/discover-pine-bluff https://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2023/sep/25/joseph-bonne-known-as-founding-pb-settler/ https://www.newspapers.com/article/arkansas-democrat-bonne-joseph-quapaw/16142726/ https://treaties.okstate.edu/treaties/treaty-with-the-quapaw-1824-0210

[edit]Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Quapaw, you may be blocked from editing. Magnolia677 (talk) 18:52, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
Could you please be more specific? I have added numerous citations. I am also not quite sure what you are talking about. It seems like contribution from tribal sources would be good to foster. Thank you.
You're knowledgeable about Quapaw topics. Would you be able to improve the stub for Barbara Kyser-Collier at all? Yuchitown (talk) 03:58, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- I added a couple citations; and will think on this some more.
- Ogahpah (talk) 18:50, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
- check it out now. It probably still needs quite a bit of improvement, but I think it at least has a little more information, organization, and citations now.
