OriginalJames Pinson Labulo Davies, a naval lieutenant and merchant, and his wife, Sara Forbes Bonetta, a member of the Egbado kidnapped as a child during a war with the Kingdom of Dahomey, who eventually fond her way to London, where Queen Victoria made her her goddaughter.
Reason
A fine image - that crinoline dress was a nightmare to clean the dust from, but worth it, I think - taken reasonably close to the time of their 1862 wedding to each other. 1862 is relatively early photography, so I'd say this is pretty good for the era.
