Hsieh Su-wei and Elise Mertens were the defending champions, but chose not to participate together.[1] Hsieh partners Jeļena Ostapenko. Mertens partners Ellen Perez.

Kateřina Siniaková and Erin Routliffe are in contention for the WTA No. 1 doubles ranking. Routliffe can only regain the top ranking if she wins the title and Siniaková fails to reach the semifinals.
